Church Camp 2008!!!

i am going to be talking about the best church camp ever in my life so far here in this post. this church camp is peerless as compared to any camp i have ever had. the messages were superb, activities were splendid, company was terrific, accomodation was great (at least not as bad as i had imagined), and even the food rawked! in short, church camp 2008 was SUPER! (this post is super long because i try to be as detailed as possible so that when i read this, i will remember everything that happened. so bare with me!)

day 1 (monday 9 june 2008)

i woke up at around 6. i wasn't really excited, if not i would have gotten up at 5. lol. my family was to set off at 7am. at about 7.30, we met uncle yoon chuan's family and pastor goh's. then we travelled to causeway and pass it, we met up with pastor lau's family and uncle meng hsien's family. we then travelled up to johor, gunung ledang. in the car, er jie and i mainly napped, played set and rush hour. we were trying rush hour level 40 and we took so darn long to figure out anything, we couldnt solve it in the end, even with two minds, so we gave up and turned to the answer behind. the solution was about 80+ steps. but at the end, it all seemed to easy! when we reached gunung ledang, uncle meng hsien, pastor lau and my dad decided that they want to try out some of the food in the area for late breakfast as we were quite hungry, the other families decided to continue their route to the campsite. so we turned up at some bak kut teh shop which was really crowded. eventhough we had to wait for our food, uncle meng hsien said that it was better to come here than to go where nobody treads. quite smart, haha, cos there were other shops which had no customers and paul (pastor lau's son) wanted to go there. since it was a light meal, each family went for one common bowl of soup and 2 bowls of rice. it was also a coincidence that all families had 4 ppl each. and the bak kut teh was awesome! so unlike the bak kut teh in sinagpore, this bak kut teh had fragrance, taste, steam and herbal presence. it was really shiok and no one regretted stopping by. pastor lau's family went for second round of soup! er jie and i were keen to buy some pao sold outside. the pao was huge! nevertheless, the lin yong pao was very nice. the pao was very fluffy and lotus paste was added sufficiently, not being too sweet nor too little.

by the time we finshed our meal, it was about 11.30. we continued the journey to the campsite and reached there by 12+. when i reached, nat and noelene were there to receive me. haha, it was so nice of them. then i went to the gift shop to take the camp souvenir, the gunung ledang tourist shirt. then i wanted to see nat's room, she roomed with noelene, their grandmother and youngest sister nichelle. their room was much nicer than i had expected, eventhough nat warned me that my room wasn't as nice as theirs, i was optimistic that the rooms werent that horrendous. soon the coach camp and more campers arrived. the campers started eating lunch and my first impression was good as there was richard clayderman's tinkling of the piano in the backgroung. so i was half eating and half deciphering what song it was on the system. after lunch, when the keys werent ready, nat n noelene showed me around the place a bit and then we went to the meeting hall and played with the mics. we played crazy and it was really funny and we laughed a lot. afterwhich, nat was in charge of the keys distribution, so nat and i 'issued' the keys to the campers and i got to see my room. it was decent, with kettle, shower heater and a small tv (that means i could catch the euro 2008!). the only bad thing was that there was no fridge. but i didnt really need one. i was sleeping with er jie. so accomodation was +++ out of five.

at 2, all the campers gathered at the meeting hall where uncle meng hsien cracked some silly but funny jokes that served as an impetus for the whole camp spirit. then uncle chee choong, the camp commandant, who is also nat's father, gave his welcome speech. at that time, pastor den hartog arrived with sherry, his wife. he was the camp speaker, and i really loved his messages. uncle chee choong then introduce the first official activity of the camp, which was survival activities. this was organised by the rangers at the camp itself. then we went to the jungle entrance to start the activity. the ranger introduced to us a plant that produced a miracle fruit which after eating, made water sweet when u drank it. it was really cool! then he introduced to us other plants which could provide us ropes and food. then the campers were split into children and teenagers and another group adults. the children and teenagers were to do survival cooking while the adults folded keuh tu put. i was doing survival cooking and formed a group with nat and noelene n nichelle. we had to cook a potato and 2 eggs with a box of match sticks, solid fuel and a cooking tin. during this, we were spending time looking for dry leaves and wood to start up the fire, but somehow the fire either couldnt start or died off after a while. so we spent a lot of time trying to get the fire, but in the end, we succeeded in the cooking the potato n the 2 eggs. me dad even tried the food and they were cooked!

after this activity, nat, noelene and i went to play water polo with the campers. water polo was so darn fun! i wanna play it again! haha, we invited any and everyone the play and even the aunties. aunty yoke mui provided lots of comedy when she had the ball as she had really funny actions. we played till 6. then i went to shower and then have dinner. this dinner was shiok i say! cos it had chicken wings, tomato prawns and very nice egg! oooh! it was the best meal i had ever had in malaysia!

finally at 8pm, we had singspiration and then message. pastor den hartog gave a very interesting entrance to his message. he said after attending our church camps for 10 years, that he thought being 60+, he would the oldest camper, but he was wrong, he congratulated mdm lo who is 90 for being the oldest camp and charis for being the youngest! haha. then he began his message about our pursuit towards Godliness involves determined effort. although i was very tired from the water polo, his message kept me awake. i had learnt that Godliness is being God-centred and every christian must depend on God for Godliness. i really had learnt a lot. after the message, pastor lau did a small presentation of his puzzle. and its significance to the gospel.

after that, it was free and easy. i nat, noelene and bernice went to my room. then i went to iva's room to play. haha, we play chaki, and i was quite funny playing with them. after that, i went to sleep.

day 2 (tuesday 10 june 2008)

rise and shine for me was at 7.30. i ate breakfast of chiefly bread and jam and cereal. then i played the keyboard for 2 songs during singspiration. i made a lot of mistakes. lol, but it was my first time playing for the church. sort of lah, cos not the whole church went. after singspiration, we had message no.2. the theme was our pursuit requires strict training. pastor den hartog gave us an example of an olympic trainer, that he had to have the determination and the effort, but what is also important is the training, and he said that christians are not only training for Godliness, we are in a battle towards Godliness as it will not come easy. after the message, i had message discussion with my group meekness and temperence. my group combined with temperence as isaac chan, the leader of temperence was having a bad headache, so isaac tan, my group's leader took over to lead 2 groups. the discussion was rather fruitful. then we had lunch, again, it was chicken wings, and the food was very good!

after lunch, we were going for a real hike up mount ophir to puteri fall, it was up 900 ft to see the waterfall. u must noe that 900 feet is a feat to accomplish for me. haha, but i guess i am still quite fit lah, i wasnt like dying... on the way up, i took a flying fox! it was fun and exciting as i am afraid of heights. the ranger briefed us on how to wear the harness etc, and he also told us to hold onto the metal bar while flying as it would stable our bodies as we flew down. i am very daring, so i was the first few to try it. i got up onto the platform and stood on a chair awaiting for the metal bar to be retrieved. i still remembering how darn scared i was as i looked down. the metal bar came and the ranger asked, 'are you ready?' i gave and unsure, 'ready', and he asked me again. this time i made sure that i said louder. the ranger gave a push. so i flew down in about 8 secs. it was really fun and i wanted to scream, but im not those type to scream, so i was half screaming and half not. on touch down, daniel the camara man took my unglam! lolz, but it was really shiok! i was so near nature for the rest of the time.

getting ready to zip down. the funny thing is that the ride wasnt the scariest, it was standing here, cos this station was positioned very high from the ground, and i was stationary so i couldnt help but look down (im afraid of heights), but while flying, i looked straight, so it wasnt much of a problem.

after finshing our turn, nat, noelene, nichelle and i were all impatient to get to the waterfall. nat had come on the recce and she had been telling me all her tales about how great this waterfall is. on the way out of the flying fox passage, uncle chee choong forbade us to go, so we were very disappointed. then dorcas and claudia were sitting outside and they said that pastor den hartog and quite some people had gone up, so we told uncle chee choong that and he gave us the green light. yay. so we marched up, i say we almost jogged. and according to what chris of megacamp said, during hiking, u should go at ur comfortable pace with small steps, if not u will get tired very fast. and true enough, by the time we got the last lap of stairs, we were lugging up. i was dragging nat up. lolz, but all the fatigue vanished when we reached the destination. mom says that ophir is hebrew for glistening. and that so described the waterfall. when we reached, the 3 Ns and i chucked our stuff aside and took no second thought before descending into the water. as i have expected, the water was cold as i had experience from megacamp. but it was not as cold, so i could tahan. pastor and sherry were on the bridge with uncle gim theng, not game enough to get into the water. haha, nat was being our guide and she immediately brought us to the slide of slippery rocks. the slide i say would have been better if the current was stronger as i could hardly move. but it was really enjoyable nevertheless. then danciel chew came along sitting cooly on the rocks as the dry guy among the waters. haha, then the 3 Ns and i splashed him wet with water and he splashed us, but what's the point? we were wet already and he getting from dry to wet! loser! lol! after that, he surrendered to the more dominant element and jumped into the water. after that, the 3 Ns and i wanted to move up further. on the way up, i slipped and fell side ways after stepping on some slippery rock, but i was alright, not one scratch. but maybe i was once bitten twice shy, from then i went slowly and tested every rock of its slipperiness before entrusting it with my weight. after that, we sat in the shallow part of the water, dipping our legs into the gushing water. it was very shiok! i guess the surging water scrubbed off all the grime on my legs! yay! the nat directed us to the whirlpool. i just relaxed myself and went along with the current. it was really fun! about 20 mins later, more campers came and started dipping in the water and it was getting crowded.

da waterfall! it is much higher then what is seen here cos the lower part is below us, i mean we had climbed till this part, so this is the upper part of the waterfall. the water is less cold than the water in megacamp, but the waterfall here is tonnes nicer than the one in mega camp. mega camp's was just one wall of water gushing down, at least this waterfall looked more picturesque. here are some of the campers making their way higher to the really upper part of the upper part of the waterfall. really daring huh! lol, but i went there too, where the whirlpool was. im as daring!

nat n i, we wanted to go down to play water polo. so we got out and it was really cold. haha, but never impossible to pose for a pic or so

can you see er jie? she's sitting on the 'slide' the waterfall had provided for us. it has some really smooth and slippery rock for us to slide down. the rocks so rawk! haha

after spending about in total 1h 30 mins at the waterfall, nat, noelene and i had enough, so we wanted to play water polo. so we got up and out of the water and went back the same way we came in. at the foot of the mountain where our resort was, nat bought a ball for us to play water polo. then we headed straight to the pool and jumped in. kar bin joined us soon after, i think i have made a friend in kar bin, she's really nice too. :) after playing for a while, more youths came along and played with us, so it was really really fun!!!!

after water polo, i went to shower, then dinner was great again and then it was singspiration and message time. the third message was on our pursuit entails a renunciation of ungodliness. i feel that pastor den hartog was the most straightforward in this message, talking about sexual immorality in the present world, and how we must abort all worldly living in us. his messages were just great!

after the message, nat, noelene, bernice and i went to my room. we taught the N sisters bridge and played for a while. then we were a little sien and wanted to join the ce people, namely iva, claudia, hui shi and the gang as their laughter could be heard from far. so we were very tempted to join them, but were afraid of being outsiders. it was then i found out something i think is very embarrassing for someone. haha, but too bad to that person. sad love i must say... never mind if you dont understand. then all of us very pathetically went outside of the iva's chalet. bernice asked me to knock on the door, i told her to do it instead. and none of us dared. so we just stood outside. then bernice n i started toking rubbish and all of us started laughing madly and very loudly. uncle fai chong came out of his room and told us to keep quiet, we then put the blame on the other group and claimed that we were outside to breathe fresh air. (remember they were making a lot of noise too) and asked uncle fai chong to open their door and ask them to shut up, then we could grab the chance to sneak into the room. but he didnt bulge, instead all he did was to ask us to lower our voices. haiz, so our plan failed. so we thought of another wacky plan. we would just laugh out loud as much as possible so that they would take notice and come out to see happened, and then they would see us and then invite us in, then we wouldnt have to invite ourselves in. coming with the idea already made us laugh tonnes loads as it was so hilarious. but they didnt come out, when they finally came out, it was to witness tze yan perform a dare as a penalty. then the four of us felt that they were so lame and retarded, so we decided to go to the meeting hall to see if there was any activity there. and we were rewarded! i say, it was the most fun night of the camp here. isaac chan, paul, anthea, er jie and the four of us played mrt. it was very very very very very very very very fun!!!! lolz. for the fist game, it was the theme of mrt stations. i was buangkok and for that, we all laughed a lot. then we played body parts. i was haemoglobin, anthea was ear drum, paul didnt play, isaac, as the only guy was hair-fallen-girl(LOL!), bernice was oesophagus, noelene was avolus, nat was rectum and er jie was gluteus maximus (aka backside)! so we started the game and i had the most number of laughs in my whole life! isaac chan who is dubbed among us as the new hossan leong was the source of the comedy! lol! he made great fun of nat whose rectum name w as very easy to say, so he whenever he had a draw with someone, he said, 'aiyah, i take the pile lah, later it will all go to rectum!' after the games, i had regained all the energy i lost from water polo and was very fresh, but unfortunately, it was time to sleep. it was 12am.

day 3 (wednesday 11 june 2008)

i woke up at 8. ate breakfast, the usual bread and jam and cereal too. after breakfast singspiration and message followed. the 4th message of the camp was about our pursuit should have a zeal for good works. i learnt that we must have the knowledge of God and the love for Him , thus with these, we must show our thankfulness and obedience to Him and glorify Him by doing good works. after the message we had message discussion. at 12, we were to board a bus which would bring us to where we were eating our lunch. we came to a beef noodle shop. the campers occupied the whole shop and started ordering their preference of noodles. i oredered bee hoon and oooh, it was shiok! the beef noodles was really nice than i thought it would be. maybe i can say it is like bak kut teh, only difference is that beef noodles is to beef and bak kut teh is to pork.

after lunch, the bus ferried us to an oil plantation. there we watched a real life demonstration on how a worker would chop down a cluster of oil palm fruit. the worker was really deft with his hands as the tool to chop the fruit was 10m long thereabout. (the fruit is located high up in the tree). so imagine the amount of skill needed to position the tool, great amount of strength is need and his aiming must be very sharp.

the oily oil palm fruit when split into half. the fruit is really oily! disgusting, but it was really interesting to find out that oil palms actually have fruits!

after the oilpalm plantation, we went in further to discover the fruit plantation, they grew many tropical fruits, like durian, guava, pineapple, starfruit, chiku, banana etc. there, the backdrop scenery was a range of mountains. mount ophir was probably one of them, nat, noelene and i took some junpshots (i will have to rely on nat for the pics). the land was really vast that i felt so tiny. the total land of all the plantations was a whooping 6000 ha, and i was only standing in the fruit plantation, the oil palm and etc, how darn big the place was, only if singapore had such land...

next up was a mini soo, we went there and saw deers, goats, birds eg ostrich and rabbits. the fun thing about this place was that the animals were allowed to roam about and were not kept in enclosures. so we could get up front with them. when the goats were released from their enclosure, there were these virile young male and female goats which could not stop humping. haha, what a sight! and imagine if one of the younger campers asked, 'mummy, what are they doing?' lol, how hard to answer that question! (i noe atticus finch would have answered directly! haha, but why is he brought into subject here?) during the experience, i had the oportunity to touch a goat, it was a friend goat that came to us, while the deers were timid and were terribly fast runners, so we had no chance coming close to them.

er jie testing the strength of 2 ostrich eggs, they really could withstand great weight. uncle meng hsien whom everyone teased who would break the record of breaking the eggs stood on one single egg and it did not break! amazing!

after the mini zoo, the camp went to a small hut to eat the home grown fruits and relax. some of the fruits served were DURIANS, GUAVAS, MANGOES, etc and even the delicacy coconut was served. it was darn darn darn shiok! the durian was so creamy... so bitter... so delicious! aha! yupz, there was supposed to be some guy doing a presentation on the plantation, but i wasnt interested, so i didnt listen.

soon it was time to bid farewell to the fruit plantation. but since we were all so full with fruits, we were not ready for dinner at tangkak. so uncle chee choong came up impromptu for us to visit a local bakery and try out the snacks there, haha, but it was again food.. lolz. in the end, we went to the restaurant to eat dinner. the food above average lah! :)


at the restaurant at tangkak. ate what uncle chee choong said was wild boar's meat and it turned out to be ostrich, nat felt like vomiting when she heard that, but too late, all the food was in our stomachs. lol

last night at camp! it was campfire, thank you God for making the weather fine the whole day! campfire was a blast! we had singspiration with some songs, er jie and i and auntie ee foong played the guitar. then after singspiration, we split into our groups and played games. the first game was relay charade. it was really fun and my team got second. for the next activity, we had to re-anact a particular activity during the camp that we liked most using the order of alphabets starting for the letter k. it was really hilarious watching the other groups' presentations. i still remember that my fahter's group was really funny, with all the china-brand swimming costume and stuff. haha. the last game was song chase. each group had to continue singing songs based on different citerias.

when campfire was over, the youths stayed behind to play captains ball. it was thoroughly enjoyable as the games were very active and fast. we played till 12 plus. after that, i stayed up to 1 to watch euro cup portugal vs czech rep. my star cristiano ronaldo scored once and assisted 1! :) i really hope he doesnt move to real madrid! okay, im diverging. after soccer, i went to sleep.

day 4 (thursday 12 june 2008)

woke up at 8.30. ate the usual stuff for breakfast. then we had singspiration and message 5. the last message of the camp was about our pursuit has an ultimate goal, that is when the Lord Jesus Christ comes again. then we took the camp photos and had lunch. lunch was marvelous as i had my favourite food, chicken rice. it was really nice cos i grabbed all the wings and drumsticks! lol, so greedy.... after lunch, we did the last minute packing and then it was home sweet home singapore.

i've finally come to the end of this post. FINALLY! but i've had fun writing the memories again, i've found myself laughing as i write. church camp 2008 was really the best! :)

i think im getting addicted to jodi picoult books. i've read the tenth circle and im still going strong. i like her books cos they ensure that i have a good read for some time, unlike other thin books that i finish after a day.

today is saturday and i played 3 different sports. in the morning i played tennis, in the evening i played badminton and table tennis!

now, let me tell you a secret! shhh! it's a small one though. but i shall tell it to you since it is a very small secret...

WHEN THE LION WAS BETTER SHE MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH A ZOO TO TAKE THE LION AND GIVE IT A NEW AND HAPPY HOME. MEGAcamp 2008!

hello! it's been 14 hours since i have returned from MEGAcamp! rawr! n i loved it!! lemme journal the experience here! whee!

to be frank, i never knew MEGAcamp was such MEGAfun. but i think this MEGAcamp was an exception from previous years. this year, a different team organised it - synergy dynamics! and thus, the programme was much more enjoyable. although i had never gone for any MEGAcamp besides this one, i say this cos i heard from friends that previous years had workshops that took up lots of time and was boring. but this year's was much different, it was much of activity-based learning, so it was much more fulfilling and pleasurable. despite the time when i felt clique-sick, i still survived! thanks to joanna who was my partner for many things.

day 1.

i didnt have any sleeplessness the previous night, probably cos i wasnt at all excited about my grouping. i was in group A, janice, shariel, nadine and samantha were in group B, elyssa was in group C and diane was in group D. that's why i was really miserable, but i stayed optimistic and remembered that it was a leadership camp, so i had to mix around.

i even went to school about 15mins late, which was 12.15pm. haha, i still remember the griping thought in me that reminded me that my bag was megabig. yeah, n i was right, my bag was really big for a small frame like me, but those people who had smaller bags had their shoe bag and sleeping bag hung like decors of a christmas tree. for me, everything was in a megabig bag, so i think it's the same lah, i had to just bear the embarrassment on the way there and on the way back.

in school, i sat with (then known as) group alpha. the other groups were bravo, charlie and delta. in short, i was group A, B ,C and D. my group facilitators were benson and roanna. and uncle saneth gave us a briefing of the proceedings on the way there. then we went off to board the coach. i sat with jo. when we reached the singapore custom, it was smooth-sailing as there were minimal queues. then we boarded the bus again to head for the malaysian custom. there, we had to switch buses, so our large bag was carried down too. also, i received a warning to change my passport photo. haha, it was my pri 1 photo. i had compared it with my face in the morning i realised there was still resemblance. actually, if there wasn't it would have been far too late to change. but in all, both customs were easy to clear. the new bus was shiok! it was less stingy on the space, the middle aisle was much wider and the seats were wider too. the bus seemed like it wasn't even a year old. so the comfort level was an assuring 90% for the rest of the trip there. on the bus, benson and roanna gave their introductory speeches and benson wanted us to come up with a original group name and a group response. we took a long time to think and benson finally gained inspiration from the lays chips, so he said, "oley?" from then oley was group name and oleh was our group response, but actually they sound similar. we also had to think of a group cheer and claim responsibilty roles in the camp.

first stop was at yong peng. there i ate cheese bun and i had the first opportunity to meet my clique in proper. jo observed that we were like long lost friends meeting once again after a long time of no see, haha, my clique really loves one another. the second stop was at ayer keroh, it was more of a toilet break, i was lucky to be in the first bus, if not my group had to battle the queue. so after that, we travelled and travelled, in the bus, i slept, ate biscuits and talked with jo and made a few new friends. when it was nearing 9pm, everyone realised that we were seriously behind schedule as it was intend that we had reached the destination at that time, instead, the drivers were making detours and finally, to appease our hungry stomachs, we stopped at macs. there i met my clique once again. after eating, we headed for jeram besu, where the camp was held.

at 11.45, we finally reached. the place called countyview recreational park was infested with flies in the night. so it was a bad first impression. some of my teammates were screaming. my group went into the conference room to practice our cheer. while we were in there, the other group came streaming in, many were also petrified by the host of flies greeting them. after a briefing from the teachers, we went to shower then sleep.

day 2.

woke up at 6.3o. i had only 4 hours of sleep. so i was tired and a little blur. we had morning sharing by miss liang about the five aspects of leadership. then uncle saneth took over to lead us in a team bonding activity. we had to pass a small ball around within our circles with the least amount of time. we worked on it for about 10 mins and the record came up to 4 secs! it was truly remarkable. breakfast was up next. in summary of the food there, it was great, esp the curries! so i feel that food wasn't a prob there.

then oley packed off for adventure caving. we went to a place where there was an ancient cave. on the way in, a few of us took a mini truck and we stood at the back, whoo, i must say it was tonnes of fun, the guide would give a sudden blast of speed and we found ourselves clinging of our lives (inertia). lolz. in the cave, we learnt of stalactites and stalagmites. we also did some crawling and climbing in the cave. the experience was once in a life time! while crawling, i got dust on my clothes, while climbing, it was thrilling experience as im afraid of heights. but it was still so fun. then i took the same truck back, same thrilling fun!

for lunch, we headed to restoran remember. it was really a restaurant to remember because of a few incidents. the food sucked. jeanica gave some of the dishes ratings and the highest was 1/5. i declare that she is quite a gourmet and a 'seasoned' waitress. haha, and now for the funniest part, there were 2 houseflies which loved the mayonnaise, they flew into the mayonnaise and got stuck with the sticky texture, being really cruel people, my table mates buried them in the mayo! we even intended to buried more gullible along with their friends! but we only managed 2. lol, imagine the disgust the dishwasher had when he/she washed that dish plate! also, there was a power surge when we were there, so there was no light, aircon and even the electric fly-attracting light was turned off, resulting in more flies flying around...

after lunch, oley set out for the most anticipated activity of the camp - the 4 wheel drive! golly! it was darn fun! i was in a group with en ying , santhiyaa and staphanie loo. the bumps were really fun and the jeep was going at about 200km/h most of the time. we squished mud under us, rocks and sand. the terrain was really uneven and we were holding on for our dear lives. there were occasional surge of speed and we would be propelled forward! the experience was exhilarating! the end point was a waterfall. i had planned to just take a dip in the water, but since it was rare that i came to a waterfall, i decided to go all in. the water i say was 5-10 degrees celsius, really freezing! but since it was a one-time kind of thing, i guess i enjyed myself. on the way back, we took the 4WD again, it was so windy that my clothes were half dry by the end of the trip. but i remember being really sad when the ride ended, the 4WD was really great!!!!

in the bus back to the campsite, i was shivering like a lunatic, i was so cold! and it started to drizzle when we reached the campsite, imagine how freaking cold i was. i was shaking like mad, i think i went almost blue! the first thing i did was to change out into dry clothes. i will never forget the feeling!

at night, a night walk was in store for us, but since it was raining, it was cancelled. we prepared for the campfire night instead. well, team oley was really progressing with our cheer and our performance. we composed our song and added new elements into our cheer. next i and my sub group had sharing and reflection with roanna then we went to sleep.

day 3.

woke up at 6.45am. prerpared my self and the went for devotion. mr go led devotion, i missed a large part of it because of the leaders briefing.

after breakfast, team oley went for its leadership management activity. uncle saneth was in charge, as usual, it was funny under him. we had to build a bridge that would be able to support the weight of 2 people at a time using bamboo poles. my group had designed a bridge that had the purpose of a lowered centre of gravity and stability. we took in all about 1 and a 1/2 hs to build it. i was mainly tying the poles together. everyone worked well together and our bridge was very stable. :)

after which, we had lunch at the resort. i tasted the best curry in my life, non-spicy and fragrant! :) at about 2 plus, oley headed out for the jungle trekking. it was a great experience except for the fact that i obtained a scar from crossing over a log. it somehow had something sharp sticking out of it and my leg got scratched quite deeply by it, fortunately there wasnt any blood. something miraculous that happened was that no one in oley got leeched except sharon. i was so expecting to get leeched considering that i was wearing low socks and shorts, but thank God, i wasnt. i loved the challenges poised when there were logs and the steepness of the ground n there was a part in the hike when we had to cross this stream and it was thanks to the guides and the facilitators that we managed to get through. another thing i would like to thank God for is the weather. in all the activities, it was sunshine throughout. and for this activity, it was only when we stepping onto the bus did it start to pour.

after dinner, oley rehearsed its musical and cheer in the 14-peopler dorm. jo, jeanicca, et and i were the actors and we where to re anact 2 events, the 4WD and the jungle trekking. it was hilarious for the 4WD! jeanicca made me laugh so madly! btw, she's a real good actress!!

after that, we proceeded to the conference hall for the campfire night. we couldnt have it outdoors as it had rained heavy earlier. but that didn't dampen our mood. we started off with the campfire cheers like the flea fly cheer and another cheer which i forgot. then we had the bomb game. lol. it was hilarious, we mr go made a mistake and all th e teachers pretended to shun him and when the teachers bombed miss gan. also when the facily (facilitators) were bombed, they sang the song we got peace like a river. LOL! haha and the cc (campfire comm) called themselves sissy and did the sissy action. next up was the johnny bravo performance. su ann did a terrific job in acting as some bimboitic chick and xi min was great at being johnny bravo! i also loved the axe oil advertisement and all. we really had a great laugh! next up was wooooo-man they did a skit on how they got their name. not bad, but JB was better. after the performance, we did the shark cheer and played some enjoyable game. poor mr pang was the target of the teachers. we went up for all the calls. d cube was next, i cant really remember their performance. and lastly was oley! i think we did well too! i was darn nervous though!

finally, it was the teachers and facilitators' turn to perform. the teachers had some sense of humour and they said they had brought to us 'click five'. it was five teachers and miss gan, the click on the com. LOLZ! we sang pl songs and the pl spirit was at its 100% level! and the facilitators did a banana dance. the teachers added that mr koh cg could do very well in promoting fruits if he did the banana dance. lol! so that sums up the most exciting camp fire i had ever! sorry if im not good at describing things.

day 4.
last day in camp. we went to the building bridges area to take pics. and i had time to catch up with janice and shariel and nuts! nuts said im strong!!! and i love her for that!!! hehe. soon after that, we ate lunch, had area cleaning then we bade farewell to the place. i was really happy to go home.

in the bus, i slept from 2 to 4. after that, i was just stoning, i was really hungry for food and by the time we reached ayer keroh for dinner, it was 7. i ate A&W, i hadn't eaten that for a real long time. i reamember the last time was p4 when i went to penang. i was so eager to eat the waffle, but the machine had spoilt. so i ate fries, root beer float and aroma chicken. following dinner, jo and i did some shopping for malaysia snacks. i bought the banana chips which was introduced to me in the bus and i loved it, and i bought other stuff for my family.

okay, im very very very tired from typing all these. i had been making lots of mistakes in typing, so it has been really exhausting. yeah, so see you.

yeah that's an intro to my post today. i think mega camp's gonna be funz! today, some phua chu kangish guy called uncle saneth marc ee came to school to give us a brief briefing on the of the proceedings of megacamp. lol, he was so drama and zany, he really gave us a GOOD laugh!! hope that we will see more of him during the camp, then it will be so fun laughing. hehe, like any normal person out there, im only interested in the fun, not the training. lolz. so im looking forward to the 4WD or in another words, the 4-wheel-drive. hope uncle saneth didnt exaggerate the fun, cos it really looked so fun and so jerky under his simulation. hehheh, im still smiling at the recollection of his actions. and all his rather retarded but funny paris hilton part... his brain is full of rubbishy asnd crappy 'jokes'. lol.

tomorrow's the day to noe the groupings. yipee! im excited. hope i will come home the same tomr! i really hope to get nice people. haiz, i guess i will have to accept the grouping given.. life's like that.. and for the people i feel arent that fantastic to me, i think i have to change my perception of them for the better during this camp.

yay, i feel very blessed to have great friends like diane, elyssa, janice, nat, sam and shariel (in alphabetical order, in no order of preference, but someone's a special case! ;) the person noes. ) they are supporting me for guitat concert! :D true friends yeah? :)

yeah, i feel very accomplish. i'm almost finishing yi san! about 16 more episodes to go. yeah 16, but compared to the full no. 76, it is really towards the end! yipee yeah! okay, im going to watch yi san now!

Wee! im sooo excited!

hey there, ahnnyonghaseyo! yay, i really like someone in school! but im breathing a single word! :) im siao lah!

im so excited about megacamp, church camp, sec 3 camp, china and india, and maybe im going to US to see my sis end of this year. this sums up my expeditions for this year. megacamp and sec 3 camp gots to be very fun man! provided i get into the right group with the right people. i got this list of people in my head i wanna get into the same group, of course... my friendz in my clique. ohh i love them soooooo much! hope the best for all of them in whatever they do, be it in studies, play or whatever, they rawk! i feel like doing something really silly like jumping on the couch. you noe people do silly and crazy things when they are so happy, now i understand why tom cruise did what he did at the oprah winfrey show. lol. and of course, my class rawks, though we are sort of underperforming as what some teachers said, i still think there's no better class than mine in terms of fun and unity. that is my opinion, but it is really a fact! we seriously i lub bur lub every one in class!

haiz, but i very scared that i will not get into the same groups as my friend for the camps. :( but i will be content with at least a few ppl from class! :D

im very sad, da jie went off yesterday to US. :( im VERYVERY SAD! i wanna cry. i will have to da han for 7 months. :( but i think she will enjoy herself, so im happy for her! so im still happy!

okay more crap to harp about, survivor ended on the wrong note!!! parvati won? i cant believe it, she was a betrayer man... even though that made her the boldest survivor, making good decisions. :(

and the last thing is that my family has bought a webcam, purpose being to have a better quality of communication with da jie, yeah, so im chatting with nat and trying it out. :)

oh! i remember, talking about mothers' day, my family went out for dinner on sun. we went to this really famous place called the seafood house or something like that. it's located somewhere in serangoon and near where the holding school for pl was. if you haven't heard of the place, go and see it for yourself, it was so crowded that peoplehad to wait by the roadside just for a seat! but they really seemed like they didnt mind at all! the food's probably simply delicious or just plain cheap. when i went there, it was like the peak hour there, and ended up being told by the waitress that we had to wait for at least 1h plus for a table. upon hering this, my family immediately gave up, we were really hungry, so when we heard that, we were quite disheartened. then we decided to go serangoon gardens' country manna. we used to go there when i was little, and the food was good lah. so went there, i must say that the pastry with soup was the best! :)

okay, now mom's dragging me off to go out to have dinner with the family. she says i must fellowship with my family. yeah yeah.. but im loading my yi san vids... but okay, i shall be a good girl and go off!

common tests

i realised that in apr i hadn't blogged but twice. so hope to do so more this month!

common test - im done with 2 papers, 5 more to go! whee! :) im very happy with the papers i've done. yay, soon i will be done with term 2 and done with sec 3. then in a twinkling of an eye, i will graduate from sec school then jc then uni!!!! yay. i have my whole life mapped out, that is if nothing go wrong. eg i die before it happens. hehe then i want to be a hairpee adult. a very hairrpee one!

enough about the future, i shall talk about the past. yesterday, i came home and watch yi san (a korean drama) for 3 hours. lol. i still had CT and i was wasting time. well im a perfect hedonist u see. then at night, i played scrabble with erjie. i lost with a score of 242 to 275. lol, it was so unfair! all the tiles i had were all vowels, so very little points on them. then at 10.30pm, we went down to run 2.4. i ran quite well. lol. :) but i missed the loop, so actually i ran <2.4km. harhar, putting my inequalities to play! then i watched survivor with er jie. her first time in years watching. explained to her how smart amanda is. lol. and also the alliance thingies. so very good move amanda, turning tables 360 degrees at the last minute! it was a very cool outsmarting! yeah, so yesterday was basically er jie day! im actually supposed to spend more time with da jie cos she picking her wings next sun to america and coming back only end of this year! boo hoo, i will miss her! :'( but we cant really play with each other as she has exams before she flies. so cant do anything... :( n i have a hidden hate for the country she's going. shhh! i cant say it so directly, later i get jailed!

today morning, went for tennis. i think i play well! :) now im going to watch more yi san! :)

btw my title's actually 'last week', but that's to boring, so i added some Zs to it to make it more interesting...
the 'important' things that happened in school last week were IFD(international friendship day) and NAPFA:(. we didnt do much for IFD except that on mon, my school had this presentation from our students from different nationalities. im quite excited that there are koreans in our midst. but actually so what... they are not even my friends... then on some later day, my clique did the quiz in the ne corner, we did for fun and eventhough we had two prefects from the IFD comm, we still could not answer a lot of ques even with their help. they surely didnt learn anything man! so i dont expect to do well n that quiz. lol!
okay let me recap the more significant of the two events, NAPFA. i would say i did well in some areas while i really suck at others. duh, im so unhappy with my 27 scorer. i got 27 with AAAABC. how pathetic. but it seems that in those that i got A, i did superly well and then i didnt do the same for the other two. my shuttle run got B and SBJ got a pathetic C! let me justify myself... im not at running to-and-fro fast and i can actually jump quite far, but this time unlucky lah! let me share my results, from my proudest to the ones not worth mentioning....

inclined pull-up - 34
i dunno why so many ppl got prob in this, i find it an ease. lol! maybe because of tennis? i dunno. heh, i did twice the amount require for A, go i get something llike A*?

sit and reach - 52
okay lah, not FANTASTIC lah, but still good, last year i remember getting around 56?

2.4km walk-n-run - 12mins 43 secs
for me, it wasn't walk and run, it was RUN! but i only managed 3rd behind my class' 2 netball girls, who noes? maybe someone will takeover my place this thurs when the other half of class runs.

sit-ups - 37
im quite proud of my accomplishment. i remember being a primary-schooler who was always struggling in sit-ups, and then scared of it. now i can feel my stomach muzzies!

shuttle run - 11.3 secs.
0.2 secs short of an A? haiz only of the teacher was quicker, and without the human reaction time, i would have easily got an A lor....

standing broad jump - 170cm

on sat, i decided to pon tennis cos uncle chin nam was making me mad for not caoching me in a proper sense... in the afternoon, i went for ck anniversary, i had to play guitar for their song item. it was then when i started to regret not playing tennis earlier, there were some youths happily playing tennis just downstairs the function room where the anni was held. the session was so-so, however, it was fun at the end when iva, claudia, tze yan and i started to compose something retarded song on the spot. we laughed.. :)
so that's why couldnt go for band concert, i had duties to do (play the guitar as i was the only guitarist). yep , so i guess my clique maties owe me a post about their self-proclaimed 'fun' band concert. :)
on sun, i went to church. :) nothing new.

today was a rather bad day, while coming home, my middle and fourth finger of my right hand got slammed between my gate. (ouch! i noe) yeah, they're fine now but are quite numb, like the fingernail isnt intact that feeling. so yeah, i can still type so guess everything's fine lah!!!
another unlucky thing, i slipped and nearly fell after stepping on some substance. it was oily or just wet. i dunno why but i just slipped and my head dropped at least 20cm before i manged to grab a chair near me (haiz, i seem to be bad at describing the situation). aiyoh, is my house getting so hazardous or am i just plain clumsy or am i getting OLD?

and heh, i shall end on a light note, my fav team man u have defeated their rivals arsenal 2-1! great job man u! so very well done, now im so very more certain that the title is in our hands!

Friends!

this post will summarise what my clique has done with me for the past few days, of course, things special, not those mundane stuff. the sole purpose being for memory's sake.

on friday, last week, the whole school had sports day. it was BORING! the only time i felt a little more than bored was when i was running the mass run, after that, i felt tired... by then, sam had moved over the dodsworth, i will wondering whether i should move over and be an extra there. haiz, but i got too bored, so i went over. haha and it so happened that d, e, j and sam (shariel was a away on gb duty) were getting milo, so i was sitting there by myself, waiting for them. they took a real long time to get back, they were looking for me. heh!

we spent the rest of sports day together. as usual, chew emerged champions, haha, it is so predicted! and we have been winning overall champs since i entered sec school, not sure about before that, hah, but chew's just too powerful. the only thing to complain is that we didnt win the cheer this time. i admit that our cheer's standard's really dropped ever since last year. it was like half of the total chew population unsure of how the cheer went, that explains the messiness and the volume. :( last year, we sure were more rythmic and our volume was 10 times! haiz....

after sports day, my clique, excluding shariel, went to cafe cartel at serangoon gardens. whoa, the service there is very bad and quite ex cos the student meal wasn't available at that time. there, i ate sandwiches, hehe, found them a tad salty, actually, after second thoughts, they were very salty. haiz i think im not made for western food. but i guess it was the fellowship that mattered. we took more photos!!! shall post them at the bottom, all credits to elyssa! :)

on sat, i went to kallang leisure park for ice-skating. it was shiok! i went there for ck. n im very happy that im making better friends with iva and claudia, they are really nice! there are other girls who are nice too! hehe. so we skated together. it was my first time skating. actually it is like rollerblading, only this time, it's blades, not wheels, and it is ice, not cement. when i first started out, i skated by the sides, when i wanted to go faster, the stupid jagged blades at the front of the blade kept making me trip a little. cos i tended to lean to much to the front. but all in all, i think i did rather well skating. managed to go quite fast, but fell about 5 times in all. but it was so fun and worth it! my school clique must go there one day! heez, but i have sacrificed skin on my left leg while skating, i have this quite huge abrasion on my left leg. it has unfortunately led to some humongous scar, very painful! argh! but i wont hesitate to go ice-skating again, this time, i will have to bring super long and thick socks!

on sunday, church day, met nat again, but i dunno why i was a grumpy. :( then after lunch, we had song prac for ck. i played guitar. it was fun and with funnyman isaac conducting the group, u will expect a few bouts of laughter ever few minutes or so. haha, he as this ingenious idea of singing different people solo in succession, this had led to the confusion of many of us and lots of laughter was produced. haha!

during afternoon service, sat with er jie, cluadia and iva and the other youths. (nat doesnt stay for this service) i guess im getting really closer to iva and cluadia. :) we love to crack silly and stupid jokes that make us look retarded. we have official nicknames for each other. claudia's 'bones', iva's 'lean' and im 'fat'... lolz. dont ask me how we got those, it is a real long story to tell!

today on mon, my cllique had a 'picnic'! it was really innovative, cos we were tired of the expensive cafe food, and long queues at the canteen. bleh, the food in school really sucks a dozen! it was potluck. heng brought drinks, yeo's sugarcane, to be specific. diane brought muffins, sam brought donuts, shariel brought lay's chips and i brought homemade waffles. janice was the only freeloader. lolz. she was supposed to bring french toast, but i think it was better she didnt, cos by the end of recess, we were so full that we had to force down the leftovers. heh, we took a few pics, (i'll have to depend on heng for them!) and im sure we will have a another potluck. it's quite a good idea, only thing to improvise is the quantity! if not we will all be quite obese by the end of sec 3, provided we have potluck that often.

Harp about happiness

yay! last night before i went to sleep, my dad called me to tell me that man u trashed liverpool with the score of 3-nil. now title hopes are really materializing! the once second placed arsenal pathtically lost to chelsea and has widened the gap to 6 points! (poor dad, he's a arsenal fan) chelsea now holds the second position with 5 points behind the leaders! yay! my man u rocks! and my star player too! he's hot! he's magical! most importantly, he's a red devil! that is cristiano ronaldo! yipee, i just admire him! he has scored 34 goals in about 36 games. finding the net 34 times even before the season ends? that's even better than george best's record! though there are many reports of him show-boating, i still believe he is the best football player in the whole wide world!

Alas! school hols do not last!

school hols are ending! :( i noe that at least 1/2 of the population of singaporean student bloggers are typing the same words into their com... i am one of those unfortunate half. :(

duh, i feel so scared about what will come next. but i must trust in God that He will guide me through this thorny part of life. i guess i ain't a great stress coper. n im quite pessimistic too. :(but im really weird! i dunno why too. i guess i still have to discover myself!

tomr, there's theory exam, oh how i HATE exams, but i quite enjoyed studying for this exam. but dunno how i will fare. i shall listen to mom's qoute, 'winning is not everything, it is whether you want to win that matters'. so i want to win :)

My! 15th birthday!

4th March ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
yay! im fifteen, i turned fifteen at 7.07pm today! haha. today was really fun! cos i received my presents from my beloved clique. the three of them (diane, elyssa and janice) gave me real great prezzies. they came up with a photo of the four of us doing some crazy facial expression, haha. it is hilarious! and on the photo frame reads happy birthday and fifteen fabulous. hehheh, that photo is on my table and whenever i look at it, i will smile to myself, maybe laugh, cos i will recall all the funny memories that we have together. (that's why i always laugh or smile to myself, i'm thinking of them!) hehe. then i received samuel's(not my cousie, instead samantha) present. it is the book by jodi picoult, i forgot the title. oops. aniwae, THANKS A LOT GALS! I LOVE YOU ALL WITH MY HEART!

then at night time, my family went out for my birthday dinner. we went to this chinese cruisine place called king crab dunno what at serangoon central. it is at some coffee shop, n i didnt mind cos i dont need air con as lonas the food is good. and yes, you could say that the food was fab!

we had crab beehoon, scallop with baby kailan, deer meat, cereal prawn and mee with rice. though you may think that this isnt much, it was really quite a lot for my family. the food is really good, with scallop so sweet, deer meat so tender, crab so fresh. it was almost heaven. so we ate till we couldn't. hehheh. then we went home and i still had to do my lit homework. see, im so poorthing, on my birthday still have to do homework. there was once, it was worse. when i was in primary school, i had a test the day after my birthday, so when i was singing my birthday song, i was remembering that i had some stupid test the next day...

at 11, after almost all the food from dinner was digested, mom took out the cake. ice cream cake for haagen daas! hehe, so thrilling yet fattening! :( the flavour was macadamia. my fam started singing the birthday song and taking lots of photos. i took quite a number with er jie and dajie! yay! ate the cake, it was fantastic! thanks a lot daddy for treating me on my birthday dinner and cake and contacts(?). sure it came up to quite a sum.

after that, birthday girl worked through the night till 1 to organise her party for friendz the next day. lemme tell u it was all worth it, lemme tell you about it later!

5th March (btw, this is tuition lao shi's birthday as well as emerald's, the girl sho lives in the same block as me!) --------------------------------------------------------------------------

woke up, was very excited, however anxious on the outcome of my party. went to school, and blah blah, the normal school stuff... and nadine gave me a letter and a realy sweet present, it is little childish for me too, nonetheless, the thought is more important. at least it makes my feel young again (like 3+ as indicated on the cover of the 'toy'). THANKS nadine! and esther gave me hers after the party, but i shall talk about them here. yes, it's a them, she gave me so many things. lol! 1. a card that she admits that she misses me a lot, is thinking of me, thati am special to her, want me to know that im fondly remembered, and wants me to have a good day. okay! esther, i've gotten ur message, THANKS A LOT esther! and she definitely made my day excellent by coming to my party! 2. another card that keeps emphazing that im a good, great, generous, optimistic, kind, generous friend. hehe, she's a real servile flatterer, i cant be that perfect! :) 3. a cute cartoon of winnie the pooh and co. cute! 4. a book, one her favs, but not one of mine, but the thought truly appreciated. the book is chicken soup for the christian teenager's soul. hehe, im not really interested in chicken soup. yup, and that sums up the presents i have received so far.


so let me talk about my party! yay, it was so fun although i was on the verge of losing my voice with all the shouting games and being the party coordinator. at 3, all my friends were gathered at my home, elyssa and janice came later for some reasons and got caught in a storm! they came quite soaked. janice started telling us how she and elyssa were at the traffic light and there was one hugh torrent gushing, elyssa chimed in that she was jumping and screaming. lol, and that's what i experienc every time i go home wih such weather. my whole socks will get wet just with that torrent!

then while i was in the kitchen preparing drinks for my guest, the dorbell rang and my unsuspecting friends thought it was my father. they opened the door to find themselves staring at the face of some malay pizza guy. lol. yeah, so mom said grace and we sat down and ate pizza. at the lunch table we caught up with many things of the past and relived jokes. the dining room was filled with the croaky laughter of janice, the giggles of diane and the normal laughter of the rest. ooh, i forgot to mention who were my guest, they were diane, elyssa, esther, isabelle, janice, nadine and shariel. after lunch, we had to bid fareell to isabelle who had music lesson in school, crappy janice said that she was so sad at isabelle's parting that she wanted to mourn, oh whatever janice!

then we sat down to play guess the famous person game. it was really hilarious! nadine had da chang jin, and then my clique started singing th wu la la song. hehe, it was super obvious but poor nadine couldnt get it. ah heng got s.r nathan and after a few rounds, she had obtained clues that it was a he and an important indian. so than she guessed. esther had marie curie, but because many people didnt know who that was, we dropped the poor scientist. shariel had jessicca liu, and she kept guessing rui en, joanne peh. then she remembered jesseca something.. then janice (who loves to give my game away) said amanda liew lah! then shariel exclaimed, "oh! jesseca liu!" haha, that cmae to te end of the first game.

the second was charade, i had split the group into 2 teams. babes- heng, teo and ng. chicks- tham, chew and goh. (i've suddenly gotten a preference for surnames, they are easier to type!) they were to send one person up and tha person had to act out a phase of words for her team members to guess. some phrases were like put yourself in someone's shoes, will you marry me?, the leap years etc. babes were doing too good a job and they led 10-0. so i had to do a tribal swap. chew and teo switched teams. haha, it was more fair from then.

after that, we went down to the void deck for the outdoor games. the third game was the blind feeding and blind eating. in their original groups, my friends had to send a volunteer, they were chew and ng. a twist for the game, they would do the easier task of instructing their teammates on feeding and eating while blindfolded. however, to make more challenging, they could only use words ee ah orh. for babes, teo was the consumer and heng was the feeder. standing for chicks were goh the consumer and tham the feeder. on go, the instructors would give instructions for the feeder to feed the consumer. the food was prawn cracker and f&n orange mixed together and the drink was f&n orange, the first group which finished wins. it was really entertaining to watch the blind people perform actions. janice had poked nadine's eyes, fortunately, the blindfolds protected her eyes. and it came to as quite a shock for nadine to eat the strangly tasted and weird tasting prawn crackers and she and janice could not stop laughing. i too had a great time laughing at them!

subsequently, we played break-the-ice-shirt-and-socks-and-put-them-on game! each group was given a block of ice. they had to break the ice, dismantle the frozen shirt and socks, and then get one person to wear them for a photoshoot. (unfortunately, many of my pics taken are corrupted :( so will have to rely on ah heng. hope she has some pics!) so both groups started smashing the ice into pieces like lunantics. and ever so gentle esther could not bear to hurl the ice on the ground, so she jumped with a small block of ice in her hands and gently thumped it on the ground, haha, like she believed that gentleness would melt the heart of ice. and she told me, looking a wise as an owl that putting ice on your neck would make the ice melt real fast, and she really did that! lol!!! despite esther, the chicks managed to claim first place as esther wore the clothing first. babes had a porblem with a piece of ice in one side of the sock, so they came in second.. and last.. harhar, shariel so kindly wore the clothes for them and click click, photoshoot was over. :)

upon finishing the game, we still had a little time, so we played treasure hunt with the two shirts used in the previous game. the first round, er jie and i hid the shirts for the rest to seek, the limits being the first floor only. er jie had this really smart idea of putting a shirt in the lift. haha, it took them some time to find it! the second round was done by diane and janice. they had hid one shirt on some roof of the sheltered walkway, lol, they just threw the shirt up and just hid it in that really unnoticeable place, thank goodness, i had meant to throw the shirts away!

then at 5, we went up to cut cake, however, mom wasnt ready. so we played wacko. with a different way of playing it, we hada to use our names spelt backwards instead. i was asil (not bad huh? but very easy to call). some really hard ones were janice's: ecinaj and esther's: rehtse which many of us ended up pronouncing as wrestle when the game sped up. lol! nadine's sounded a like a nice guy's name: enidan. shariel's: leirahs, diane's: enaid and elyssa's: assyle (as-silly or ass-silly if you want it.)(take away the e and add um gives u assylum, hehe.) we played many rounds which involved bullying esther into making her confused on which direction to hit as all of us started shouting anyone's name and pointing anywhere. lol, poor esther looked so confused that she might have a mental breakdown. she is so cute!

finally, my cake (of rather cakes, there were 2 u see) was done! it was a large version of durian puff and mango yoghurt puff. i love puffs and a lovey durians! so i got really crazy over this cake. only some pathetic friends of mine who couldnt stand durians took the alternative. haha, they don't know what they've miss! my! i had ice cream cake the day before and now durian puffed cake. so hairpee!

so that summs up my birthday! to my friends, hope you've enjoyed my specially planned birthday party. hehe, :)

i went from geog challenge at nus, it was really interesting and a good experience! and i've gotten my contact lense! yay! i took a little while to learn to put them on. it is not because im not daring enough to touch my eyeball, ball cuase my eyelashes kept interfering. :) but now i can wear them quite quickly. :) yay for me!

hello everyone! it's 3 more days to my birthday! yay!!!!!! im so proud of myself! i have lived to 3 days short of 15 up til now! :D

okay enough talk about getting older.. im very happy cos im listening to my star pianist... richard clayderman. i love his music! it's so soothing and groovy. i like a lot of the pieces from his collection, a pity i cant play them on the piano as im not up to the standard. see how lowly i think of myself, but it's true! i have about 150 songs of his. :) but i have a few particular favs.


for the past week, i watched my favourite parts of dae jang geum once again. she rawks so with min jioho! hehe. dae jang geum will always be my fav soap opera ever! and to think that my crazy pal janice and i still hum tunes and do crazy actions that depict jang geum and geum young in the kitchen. we say that elyssa looks like geum young, then she asks, "who's that?" we say that it is the poor lady min jio ho dumped! lol.


toking about my clique, janice has so hornily assigned us some male teacher to pair each one of us up with! what's her prob?! hehe. in the end, elyssa and i pair her up with the pervertic teacher, then she complained to us for being mean to her. lol, that's the pot calling the kettle black! she started it! but anyway, we love her horniness or corniness, or whatever it is! also i would like to say that i really enjoyed thurs with them. we took timings for the runners and whenever there was a short interval between the rounds, we were crapping around and j and di wanted to hone their acting skills. had lots of fun. btw, di and i still have yet to find out if she has discovered the bare mentos sweet we had put into her bag. maybe she will discover it once ants start visiting. lol, we are so naughty! and elyssa, you had better keep ur promise about running together!

okay, now i shall tok serious stuff. i am going to wear contacts. quite happy about this change.

this term, i did rather badly for tests, :( but i will try to buck up next time round.

now, i shall go and do my homework... irritating! it's lit and geog. tt wants us to do some reflection on the amazon tropical rainforest's flora and flauna. maybe i will just lift from some webbie, i said maybe only, dont sue me for plagiarism! furthermore, she wants me to take part in some geog competition as the reserve.. i also dunno what i will be doing..

BTW i have come across this really crazy video of richard c. playing lady di(diane, this is the song for you!), the song guitar club is learning! the way he plays makes it seem so simple! i envy him! only if guitar club could do as well as him.. :(
