The CLIQUE SISTERS!
today, i went to diane's house with my clique! it was tremendous fun! man, i didn't expect it to be such a blast cos i thought i might feel left out or something, some more i was for-going piano, which was something hard to make up for, given teacher janet's tight schedule. also, i was a little emo in school cos of a 'family feud' and felt sucidal, so i wasn't in the best of moods to go diane's house. but thanks to anisha and co., and of course my clique, i felt a little better by the end of school. when i exited school, i realised that i hadn't had my ez-link card, so traveling was a little inconvenient. my dad had taken the card to top up the value and it was not at home, so it defeated the purpose of running home to get it. i had to survive on coins for transport for the rest of time and i had to borrow, much to my dislike, coins from janice as i had no loose change. i was quite depressed cos of that... i could say that i had experienced a roller-coaster of emotions during the earlier part of the day. :(
after school, clique and i headed to campus point for lunch. i had tom yam bee hoon, good thing i could tahan with the help of ice milo. i almost ahd a few tears run loose thanks to it. :) after lunch, we shopped for the quick mix for cookies and brownies. there, vanessa, diane's cousin joined us. when we were boarding the LRT, the doors closed on vanessa while all the rest of us cleared. it was a very SCARY experience! elyssa entered first, then i, sam was third and the doors were closing, when the doors were midway, janice slid in in that precarious moment. after that, it was impossible for vanessa to come in, so she was left behind. however, clique and i waited for her, and we sincerely empathised with her, being left all alone at a LRT station... it was as good as being marooned or something... okay, so when this matter was resolved, we happily headed to diane's abode. on the way, janice was chirping on how 'cool' she was when she slipped into the LRT carriage in time, i bet she was imagining that she was some baddie in some action movie and had just slipped away from the pursuit of the policemen. haha, it was far from it! she was so unglam lah, her waist was leaned forward and she looked like some auntie! haha, just jkjk. i think i have extremely exaggerated this part. :)
at diane's house, we started baking, with the help of diane's sweet and nice mom, aunty dawn! mixing in the premix with butter/oil and cracking the eggs. lol, vanessa, janice and diane did messy jobs in cracking the eggs. and since i had somewhat more experience in baking, i was the supervisor by default. the very first cookie dough we had was too dry! and we cheated a little by adding more butter, even though it wasn't in the right order. while sam, charlene (diane's younger sis) and i worked on the choco chip oatmeal cookie, d,e, j made the brownie. we had a truly enjoyable time baking. the first batch of cookies was put in the oven and came out too light in colour and were too soft, as if they were raw. so we put them in the oven for a while longer and the cookies came out golden brown the second time. though they were initially soft, they soon hardened till so hard that they were the hardest and most crispy cookies i had ever set my teeth upon. which is good! haha, however, they were far, far too sweet! i could just dropped dead from severe diabetes after a few man! and constipation and etc. bah, it was crispy, flavoursome but was just too awfully sweet! hehe, maybe the other didn't mind the sweetness, but thanks to my mom, i have grown too accustomed to less sweet stuff! my mom cuts down the suger in her recipies by nearly half, yet they are still as good! at least to me!
at 4.30, sam had to leave. however, the rest of us stayed on to bake. after baking a few rounds of clean uniform sized cookies, d, e, j and i made heart shaped cookies and j and i went further to make J and L cookies respectively. while waiting for our hard-laboured cookies to bake, d, e, j, v and charlene formed a band! named the clique sisters. lol! it was soooooooooooooo fun! we ran riot! i was the keyboardist, or rather, the pianist. well i could say it was a fine compensation for not able able to attending piano. egh! why im i saying that? not as if i love piano that much! diane was main gutarist, elyssa was jester 1, janice was jester 2 and tambourinist, vanessa was guitarist and main singer, charlene was the drummer. we performed everlasting god and videoed it down. lol!
after a super thrilling experience, we made our way to the dining room to eat our fresh made products. :) they were great, but were to sweet. we also ate cheese cake. i receive a relatively big piece of cake, so im prepared to get fat! aunty dawn said i could afford it cos i was a tennis player, well i think im getting paunchy! :( haha, i still love the part when we saboed e and made her eat a huge piece of cheesecake, cos she was always underweight and definitely could afford to grow a few inches sideways. haha, e was so grossed out by the large amount of cheesecake that she had and kept saying that she loves me, appealing to me to help her finish her lot. but i didnt take a chance at getting any fatter than what i am going to be, so i rejected her plea.
after eating a lot, the clique sisters spirit was alive again, we went a little crazy here and there, videoed ourselves a few times, and while i was mainly sober, d, e, j were CRAZY! they were pretty much the clowns in the lime light. lol. oh yeah, and before we left, diane's neighbour came over and ate my L cookie! haha, was a little 'pissed', cos it was specially made by me for myself, not for some small guy... unless his name starts with L too, and had taken a liking to my professionally done cookie, then i might forgive him.
okay, so much said, i have made another wordy post. haha. but i enjoyed myself exceedingly! i love my clique! i mean more the original! :) haha

BRISINGR! the fire!
yay, i have finish the the marvel: BRISINGR. yipee dipee. i accomplished this feat by spending 3 days, more or less locked up in my room, listening to music while i read brisingr. very slow, i know. haha. but all matter is that i enjoyed the story. i love the plot and style of language that christopher paolini is gifted in potraying. however, i feel doubly sad. the reason being that i will have to wait a thousand years before the next book is released. oh man, i can't wait. n i have this very impatient nature that makes things worse! haiz.
p.s i heard from elyssa and diane that codered is reading brisingr! wah, no big surprise here, it all goes to show how good the book is!
[spoilers for whoever has yet to read and is going to read]
my likes:
- i really liked the fact that brom's eragon's real father. :) that makes eragon's lineage more noble, eventhough it is probable that he was born out the wedlock.
- also, eragon's new sword was an idea that suited me well and it came handy for the last battle. :) it was high time that a rider had a proper sword. haha, and the part when eragon cried 'brisingr!', the sword would burst into blue flames. i agree with cp in his message that it was a rather cool thing. lol.
- YAY! arya seems to be opening up to eragon! that's great, cos i want them to be together by the end of the series! if not, cp had better give a good reason man. [okay, erjie was beside me when i typed this and she called me weird. hehe, she forgot that im a diehard romance fan, especially in books. lol]
- i admire the wisdom of nasuada in recruiting the urgals, eventhough they seem more malevolent than good willed, but i think they are vital in the fight against the empire because they are a powerful force in terms of physicality.
- im glad that the varden is progressing in it's quest to achieve the dwarves' trust with the coronation of orik. the dwarves are a race that are skilled weapon smiths and with their alliance, it is definitely a boon for the varden as they need the maximum manpower possible to overthrow the tyrannical, near invincible king.
- roran has gotten married to katrina, thanks to the help of the varden and eragon. that's good cos roran, a valiant hammer warrior, has talent and thus feels obligated to aid the varden. along with him, the people of carvahall seek refuge in the varden. so MORE manpower!
- also, learning the loophole that could defeat galbatorix (the idiotic king) makes the outcome of the book more hopeful. and learning the source of his almost unlimited power makes it easier to counter him. yay, there's light after a dark tunnel. although it's obvious what the ending will be, the novel has immersed me in the conflict, and i have of course taken my side with the good.
what wasn't so great:
- the book was a lil draggy in the late middle. i remember nearly scanning through the part of roran and captain edric.
- arya and eragon had less companion of each other as compared to the other books. that is i feel. but since the minimal time they spent with each other in this book was sweet enough, im thoroughly satistisfied. eragon was comforting arya over her dead ex. hehe. :)
okay at the end of the novel, i realised that the dominating theme of good vs evil has been so deeply imbued in me that i feel that galbotorix is my enemy! haha, that is how well cp convinced me of his story although it is hardcore fantasy. actually, without brisingr to read anymore, (unfortunately, im not one who reads a book twice consecutively, however much i love it. :( ) i feel like the meaning of my life has been reduce by half. now, all i can do is wait for the 4th and final book. :)

Recounts (includes the self glorious javelin aka bottle shot of mine, elyssa and diane, please read)
on mon, i had this grooming talk. it was good. good because of the company and slightly also because to the trainer, quite engaging lah. :)
since i promised a post on my clique's pot luck, i shall make do it. hm... my memory's failing a little bit. hehe. i shall talk about the highlights only. yay, thank goodness, you are spared a wordy post!
- i brought milk, diane brought some cereal that was full of colouring, something frost lah, can't rmb. elyssa brought cocopops, janice brought degestive biscuit and sam brought milo balls. i hope i rmbed correctly! we were located at one of the umbrellas outside the cafe, facing the primary school.
- we each brought our bowls.
- we ate and ate to our fill.
- the rain came down and the flood went up. no lah, no flood, the rain only made us 'huddle' closer to each other under the quite-huge umbrella.
-nadine came along, played with us who what huh and helped us finish a little of cereal. haiz, she and diane can never get over poking each other.
- poor diane was forfeited the most times and had her bowl filled with the grim prospect of never ending cereal.
- we got a naughty and started throwing milo balls about. (could u imagine how the turned out soggy under the rain? definitely not a pleasant sight)
- later, during the ten min break, we wanted to play basketball but darn! the court was locked. (so retarded and idiotic cos we had part in paying for the facilities in school and it stupidly devoided us of rights to use them! heck!)
okay, i think that's all for mon. :)
im going to skip tues cos it was nothing spectacular, only stone carving which i think made a mess out of.
today, sex talk was nothing fun.
talking of basketball which i mentioned earlier, my clique had the 'spasms' of basketball ricocheting in us again today, so we looked up the court and it was still locked. i had consulted the receptionist in the general office about the stupid lock. she said that as long as there was lessons, no basketball. bcos they didnt want the students to be distracted by the ineviteable screaming while playing the sport. so whatever!
my clique got desperate and wanted to break the lock. with sam's hair clip in tow, we worked a little of the lock, as expected, the lock did not bulge. haha, who on earth could do such a trick unless he was a top notch crook or an actor in a movie. in fact, the actor was probably pretending to 'unlock' an already opened lock. haha, that's how silly we got in our desperation and idleness. after that, we got so unbelievably bored that we created a game on the spot! the game was an improvision of the olympic javelin event. i had my empty green tea bottle with me, so we tried to toss the bottle over the fencing of the basketball court into it. we had many many many failed attempts but this is the gist of the story, WE NEVER GAVE UP! elyssa came close, and janice and diane gave us some light hearted moments when they shot with a force so power, aiming way too low, only to the bottle defiantly bounce of the fence back to us. finally, with the determination and spirit of a javelin thrower, i embraced the 'tradintional' method of running a runway before arching back to build up power in my right arm and then toss high up. the angle was an important factor here. after a few unsuccessful tries, the final try was successfully. (of course, if not the bottle would still be retrieved). and im proud to say that i was the one who tipped the bottle over. :) lo and behold, when the bottle crossed to the other side, the accomplishment gave my rusting amour of confidence a fresh coat of paint. (elyssa n diane, u noe why i felt down. :) ) once i threw the bottle over, my clique were mad with excitement as we ran back to class, we even screamed slightly as we made our way like a brood crazy chickens running from slaughter. haha, so i have just taught u my trick, so elyssa and diane, if u ever got the chance to try again and not be caught, this is the secret.
haha, so the incident, i would say, really made my day! :) anyway, something out of the point, janice (i doubt she will read this) 'criticized' me for my wordy posts, heh, i dun care, im like that. lol.

BRISINGR!
yipee! i have gotten brisingr!!!!!!!!!!!! yipee dipee! im so engrossed in it that i have finished 200 pages! so little i noe, but it is a mean feat for me. there's 500 pages more to go! i think im going to finish it tomr. oh no... then i will be so depressed again. :( and christopher paolini will take ages to release the final book. by then i would have died of impatience!
the book is marvelous, awesome, exceptional, extraordinary, magnificent, outstanding, preeminent, remarkable, singular, towering, uncommon, unusual. oops, i have just copied the results of the thesaurus. yeah, the book is that great. :) im only into 200 pages and i have experienced emotions of the extremes. it had the power to move the hard nut me to tears at one point. :) and to feel extremely excited till my hands get all sweaty. man! i wouldn't be torn away from it except the times when i have to read, take eye breaks for my ailing eyes and of course, answer nature's call. :) and im here on the com cos i want to download the pics from elyssa's blog from our potluck today and i had some commitments to ck camp comm.. and since brisingr's in the way, i shall have to blog about the potluck later. :) sorry, brisingr is so precious that it ranks above the experiences of a day. anyway, u could just take it that im plain lazy and u could read heng's blog. the pics are sufficient to tell the story.
okay, im off to eat dinner then continue brisingr! YIPEE!

Memories
elyssa, you have realised i have changed the song. :) all for u. :) anyway, the previous song was a song from my er jie's 'boyfriend', so it can't be under estimated. anyway, i love it too, so u have to respect it. :) anyway in the new song, i love the catchy line of the string intruments in the intro. or maybe it's some other digital sounds. it's nice right? or maybe you knew this song looooong time ago. lol
okay, while i was blog hopping (a phrase used by elyssa), i chanced upon traci blog, guess what, she had michael learns to rock track take me to your heart. i LOVE that song! oh man, it has been my sustained fav since 2 years! the song somehow remind me of eragon and arya, and the dragon saphira somehow. the song gives me the image of eragon and arya dancing in an expansive field full of corn wheat. heck, i know it's sooo weird and retarded, but since i do want eragon and arya to get together, the song has even more meaning! don't ask me how on earth i got the song connected to the novel, well, it was because i was listening to the song while i was reading eragon, so the song immdiately got associated with the story. :) interesting huh.
now, i shall give meaning to my title. while was in the process of blog surfing, i found the link to angela's blog! angela from 6 kindness! my good ole friend! boy, i do miss her. even though she sucked at times, but it was probably bcos she was immature and naughty, but after 4 years of being with her, i realised that she was a great friend on the whole. man! i wanna talk with her so badly, read her blog and she mentioned that she has braces now, golly, i wanna see how she looks! and i went to 6 kindness blog and saw the slideshow of pics, and the memories starting gushing like a torrent into my mind, i suddenly felt a wee bit emotional! my, it was so carefree and fun then! i really loved the times with nadine and angela, even though they were mostly at loggerheads and i was like the one caught in between the 2 of them. and i still rmb the times when we played catching at the parade square. angela was a pretty fast runner, i never got faster than her. but she's more of sprinter, but i think im better than her in long distance. however i dunno if that has change, i have to remind myself that she's from netball and for 6 years to date! so maybe she's become better. okay, maybe i should change my heading to memories of angela. lol. i miss her so much!
alrightie, today, elyssa and i talked some really mean things about someone. somewho who is called ugly eurasian by someone else! haha, diane, yeah, it's that person! i noe u noe. :) after looking at the person's pics at friendster i've realised that that person looks quite good some times, but looks horrid majority of the time. but he/she far too vain and thinks that he/she is good looking too much that im sick of it. but actually, that person looked quite cute when he/she was young. :) im not mentioning the person's name nor gender because if i do that, some biscuit will hunt me down. actually i don't it she will have the time to, but i'm pretty precautious! biscuit refers to the famous brand of biscuit that starts with J. or u can call her panda eyes. lol
on mon, my delightful clique will be having a cereal potluck! and i hope we will able to play some basketball. :) I LOVE MY CLIQUE! okay, i've gone mad with 'affection' for my clique. :) will update very soon on the potluck! see you!

now, i shall give meaning to my title. while was in the process of blog surfing, i found the link to angela's blog! angela from 6 kindness! my good ole friend! boy, i do miss her. even though she sucked at times, but it was probably bcos she was immature and naughty, but after 4 years of being with her, i realised that she was a great friend on the whole. man! i wanna talk with her so badly, read her blog and she mentioned that she has braces now, golly, i wanna see how she looks! and i went to 6 kindness blog and saw the slideshow of pics, and the memories starting gushing like a torrent into my mind, i suddenly felt a wee bit emotional! my, it was so carefree and fun then! i really loved the times with nadine and angela, even though they were mostly at loggerheads and i was like the one caught in between the 2 of them. and i still rmb the times when we played catching at the parade square. angela was a pretty fast runner, i never got faster than her. but she's more of sprinter, but i think im better than her in long distance. however i dunno if that has change, i have to remind myself that she's from netball and for 6 years to date! so maybe she's become better. okay, maybe i should change my heading to memories of angela. lol. i miss her so much!
alrightie, today, elyssa and i talked some really mean things about someone. somewho who is called ugly eurasian by someone else! haha, diane, yeah, it's that person! i noe u noe.
:) will update very soon on the potluck! see you!

Innovation week
hi blog, 5 days of innovation week has just passed. actually, the title has many flaws. first of all, what seems to be innovative isnt present in the title, i mean u aren't very creative if you say this week's a creative week, so let's be creative. so i guess the title's boring. also, it isn't really a week! it's only 5 days, in fact 3 only, excluding sat and sun which are not school days. so it should not be innovation week, instead innovation half-week, which is actually not very nice sounding and not clever at all.. okay, i think the weather agrees with me, there's been a few threatening shreds of lightning greeting me as i type, very scary huh (im facing the window when i type)
i week was not bad lah, as least i had a nice group, unlike the group i had for pw, which was unthinkable. on fri, mr l lim briefed us about hte project, well the first impression was: this project's SCARY and HIGH-ORDER! why so? cos we had to do a lot and a lot of things within 3 days, unless we did slipshod work. also, we had some talk from some guy about ways to conserve energy and cutting cost. i admit his talk was very educational and i quite liked it, very good alr, cos i was seated down for 1h plus, just listening. oh, i forgot, i do this every week in church. my church is very conservative and solemn and is unlike those jumpy churches where they jump about during songs and play worldly music, making the excuse that it has christian lyrics... i also dislike the way some pastors *hint hint* tell their life stories and act funny while their sermon's supposed to be serious and talking about God. i think it defiles the church. :( okay, i think i gotta show some respect to these churches and i shall shut up. oh mine! i have just side tracked so much! okay back to the point..
about innovation week... um, oh yes, so after the talk, everyone went back to class. we sat in our groups. nadine, shariel, olivia and elizabeth were in my group. fine group huh, furthermore, i was comfortable with everyone. :) oh btw, olivia was away in malaysia, so it was only the 4 of us. :) my group was very on task and we had our leader appointed, shariel. and then we came up with the company name and profile, and all the details to make it more authentic. then we brainstormed on ideas on how to save resources in our school. nearing dismissal, we finally came up with a few ideas and decided to go elizabeth's house to continue with our project the next day.
after schoo, nothing spectacular, only, the fact that i watched survivor! fang finally won, TWICE and thanks to ken. :) i like matty and marcus too. :)
on sat, as usual, went for tennis with nadine, then went to her house. i think have been going her house too often that it has become a routine. :( and that's bad, cos it's not so nice. :( so i shall try to prevent it from happening again. then we met elizabeth (e) and shariel (s) in school at 12. when we were still at the bus stop at school waiting for the bus, dad suddenly called and said that he saw me and wants to give me money, okay, shocker, i was receiving money for no good reason, maybe my dad's in good mood. :) then i asked him where he was , and oh my, he was at the bus stop itself! i mean, my view was blocked, thus i did not spot him. since it was wet weather then, i took the chance to ask him if he could fetch all of us to e's house. and he said okay. so all of us hopped on and made our way to e's house!
there, we got cracking. e was a supe uber good host. i complimented her and she said, 'no lah.' then i remembered, 'hostess' i corrected, and then she said, 'haha'. haha. very funny. why do i say that, cos she really prepared snacks for our coming. potato chips la, prawn crackers la, and drinks! she's fantastic! haha. so we started doing majority of the slides, report, the script for the skit and research. we decided to put all the arty stuff on hold till olivia, the art girl came back, so we could have some motivation and inspiration. haha. i remember, we were super on task and we did so much that i couldn't believe it! haha, i say sat was the most fruitful day i ever had on projects. :)
on mon, we were meeting cos olivia had come back, so we could do the props etc and then wrap up all that we had for this project. oh, and the day before, i was feeling extremely bored, so i decided to bake. mum was midway baking her swiss roll, so i had to wait. when the time finally came, she helped me bake choc chip cupcake, oh, mum rocks! and so, the end of the story is that i brought some cupcakes to share with my group. okay, i know i take a long time to get my idea across, but bear with me. hehe.
met in school at 11, well supossedly, but we ended up meeting about 1/2 hour later, thanks to some ppl. haha, no offense. i went a little early to take pics. and guess what! i saw code red play volleyball along side mrs tng, some guy pe teacher and here comes the shockers! along with them was hu min, miss intan, mr alvin yeo! whoa, i didn't know they so game. furhtermore, that codered was trying to look sporty, well, she's only tall, nothing more. okay, i'm very mean.. but i think elyssa would taunt a little too. :)
okay, please forgive me, for i have once again deviated. :( i should i say i forgive myself cos no one would read this stupid long post. okay, so i shall say, lisa, i forgive you. then i would wait 5 secs, look touched and then say, thank you.
okay, where was i... at e's house (again, see, e's really good hostess!) we painted and made our props. very focussed again. and we finish it in 1 and a 1/2h! haha, i told u we needed inspiration from olivia, and of course, i musn't forget the constant reminder that we had to vacate the space for e's sister to have tuition at 3. haha, so these 2 factors urged us and helped us to be on task.
after doing the props, i shared my cupcakes, and nadine kept saying that it was nice. lol, i noe nadine, you have been saying that every baking from my house. after the 'treat', we and to rehearse our skit. okay, this was the part i was most fearful of. cos, i can't act! or maybe i'm just very self-concious and have no confidence. anyway, i now think it's the latter. but i still do have stage fright, a very worrying problem through the whole of my school life. :( actually, i realised that it was because my lines were very unnatural for a speech, so i ammended it and phew, i felt much more comfortable in delivering the lines. :) when we were finished, we were officially done with the project and i was in europhia. hehe, i had tues free! although i had to go home to do some tasks by inserting the pics for the slides, it was a simple job. :)
on tues, i had piano lesson, other then that i was rotting (haha, qouting mr lim) so i decided to bake once more. yay, and it was the same produt, choc chip cupcake. oh, it's ccc! hehe, but the gust is that i was doing it more independently, mum wasn't very available to help me. and yipee! i had a great time! the cupcakes were a huge success too!
fastforward to today, wed, my group did well. :) i had fun! anyway, with much ado, i shall proudly announce that 2 groups from my class made it to the finals and one went on to win the top prize. now, i shall sadly say that my group was neither, but who cares, i enjoyed myself working with the group. :)
alright enough of i week. thanks to the boredom i have experienced after exams, i have discovered something new about myself, that i love baking as it helps you do away time in a fruitful way. it's fruitful as it has delicious food for u at the end! also, im into good read such as the kite runner, new moon, keeping faith and im still waiting for brisingr from the library. i have reserved it! :D anyway, im currently reading the kite runner and boy, it's good! it does have the cool teen romance or the alluring charm of any romance, but it is very satisfying! it discusses the coming of age of a boy in the setting of afghan and then america. this boy is hidden by a tragic secret he knows of his friend and is very guilty for not rescuing him. in the end, the boy grows up, migrates to america and then he receives a call that may help him be able to finally right the wrong. nice book, i must recommend it to u! heh, and im also watching the 9pm show on ch 8. it's not bad too. and dawn yeoh acts rather well! :) on the com, im into good movies and gladiator has caught my eye. :)
okay, i shall go watch gladiator now. :)

Tennis rules!
today morning, i went for the hike. i didn't really sweat cos the track was all paved and more or less level. and then i played a little rough game with iva. er jie scolded me for being rough. well, i think that is what i am.... anyway, iva didnt mind and enjoyed the 'fight' too. at 12, we headed home. erjie met zr and the rest of us went home. i had sinus, hence felt drowsy. napped till 2.
at 2, nadine came over, we solved a math problem together. at 3, we set off for tennis at pub recreational club. we had some trouble finding the way into the tennis court lol, and we wasted about 10 mins. when we reached, nadine and i were so eager to start playing that multi-tasked on our warm up, doing arm and leg stretches simultaneously, we even got so crazy to the extent of jogging and doing arm stretches, lol, so desperate.
finally finally finally, the most anticipated moment since the beginning of the week materialized! we were playing tennis, seriously and without coaching. we stroked to get into momentum and then nadine started showing me no mercy, giving me wide shots, making me be always on the move. well, i had begged her to give me some leeway as i was disadvantage with flu. haha, though she has only been learning for 2 months at most, she is a killer with her slices and plays tatics like a seasoned war general. she loves to make me run, so i made her run too. we sweat out together. :)
after some time, we decided to play a real game. the score ended 6-2 to me, though nadine lost, she lost very well, considering the little practice she had in comparison to me. :) so very good job done. furthermore, i see her as a potential 'threat' as she would be soon as good as me. :) after the energy sapping game, we were tired, however, my shots were getting more refined and i somehow had more ball control, and i kept making her run. do you see the juxtaposition of the past and the present? haha, and then she was really tired, so my dad, who just made his way to the place, took over. i played with him. he's good too! taking into account that he never plays tennis, only last time.. and he's just too pro in any sport! badminton, table tennis, tennis, running, etc... but i did make him run for the ball, haha, and tricked him a little. hehe. then nadine played with dad, and then i played with nadine again. we ended at 5. by then, we were totally exhausted, imagine that nadine actually wanted to play for 3 grueling hours! she sure couldn't tahan by the end of 2 hs!
after that, we ate dinner and i bought mcflurry! (or whatever it is spelt) i realised i have a fetish for oreo, albeit the china scare. i have been unconciously and conciously eating oreo for the past 5 days! after dinner, nadine came to my house and we watched a moment to remember. it's a korean movie that's super nice and touching. :) nadine left at 10.
this post is more of diary like cos i wanna keep this memory. also, i took some photos. haha, you might be wondering why on earth do i want to take pics, well, it's my way of remembering things, so that when im older, i can look back and smile. like this -> :)

nadine is camera shy! it's so hard to get a pic with her face!

gotcha! first proper pic of nadine today

upon request of nadine. i noe im stupid! but i dun care..

im waiting for nadine to return the ball, see, that's how you get ready for a on coming ball. knees bended, haha, im a fine example!

picking up balls. this is a super tiring task. it drains ur energy more than a game of tennis.

me spinning the ball.

nadine! the other fine example, left hand also must hold racket to get ready for any change of grip.

haha! im making nadine run! nadine running in action!

stroking, being relaxed

dad came along, he reaches for a tricky topspin!

im reaching too for his ferocious return

nadine hits the ball, oh, her balls are scary and skilled
okay, this comes to the end of this post. okay, i think im not writing and in good english. i myself dont understand what is 'this comes to the end of this post'... okay, i think i really need to catch some winks!

Sublime september
exams have started and ended, now im having quite an endless time of relaxation. im not a geek, so i will never start for o levels so soon, unlike elyssa. haha.
last fri, although i still had 2 papers more after the weekend, i went to play street soccer(ss) for about 1 and a half hs. :) i had a whale of time playing with my ex church friends, mainly ns guys and older. there were also some older girls like my erjie and others, and i was the youngest there. there were many who turned up, so we had to break up into 3 groups to play, and the winner after 10 mins, or the first team to score 2 goals wins and stays on to head off with the other team. i hadn't played ss for a loooong time, so i took a while to get into momentum. at the end, i surprisingly was almost top scorer with 2 goals. i must say it was more of the help of God, (or luck, a non-christian would say) that helped me score 2 goals. only joel scored 3, 1 more than me. i must be very content cos there were only a handful of ppl who managed a goal. :) okay, self-flattery gets no where... anyway, both times, the ball come to me, and i was near to the goal, so i just kicked and struck home! futhermore, these were my only attempts for the goal, thus making it more precious in a sense.
saturday. i went for tennis, performed way under par. then i went to nadine's house to play the our tennis-cum-squash version of game. we played the game upstairs in the 'open area' where there was a relatively high wall. u could say that it was a 3D version as we played upstairs, and thus, the ball could drop downstairs through the railings. (haha, i admit i was the culprit most of the time) whenever that happened, nadine would call 'rigi!' (her maid's name, or something like that) lol, rigi drop whatever she was doing in the kitchen to help us throw the ball up a few times. till we (or rather, i) dropped the ball so many times that we felt bad, so we had to run down to get the ball. the game was sooo extremely fun that nadine and i love it and have been playing for 2 weeks alr! :) furthermore, we love the thrill of keeping the ball in due space constraints.
sunday, i went to church, talked with nat. :)
yesterday on mon, physic paper 2 was horrible..
today, physic paper 1 was manageable, i finished in 1/2 h and spent the rest of the time bo liaoing and checking my answers. i got quite bo liao to the point that i started 'beautifying' the shadings on the oatas sheet. lol, if i spot one careless mistake later, i will smack my head.
after the paper, sec 3 eoy for me was officially over. that meant more going out, more time to watch dramas online, more time to read good novels etc. and no stress! please, i was wishing a stressless life, and it took almost eternity to happen, now that exams are over, my mind is finally relaxed.
after exam, my clique went out! ooh ha! i went home to change first. then i met them at cherry hill. then we hopped on the train and it brough us to marina square. there, we ate breakfast, went window shopping, took a few pics and walked through the arcade before settling for mama mia! the movie. haiz, but there was one particular episode that i must mention. thanks to samantha, my clique had some experience with luck games. sam, whoa best ah, spent about 6-8 dollars on those toy vending machines. the rest spent about 40 cents each, the result: no winnings at all. but it was thrilling enough to make us hooked for about 15 mins. before this, we had breakfast at han's. i had chicken congee cos i wasn't that hungry(and given my past experiences of being unable to finish whatever i order, so i was once bitten, twice shy. actualy, thrice bitten. :)) while we ate, my clique recollected all past memorable events of survivor, ranging from foursome of yul, ozzy, becky and sundra to the pathetic kathy and guilible erik. we had many a laughs. survivor indeed is a common topic that we can bond through.
movie was next. it had certainly lived up the recommendations five different ppl. the songs were very interestingly interwined into a plot and there were funny scenes too. after the movie, we walked to suntec city, and passed a section of the F1 tracks. i was looking out for the tyre marks left behind, however with the road jammed with cars, i was unsuccessful. at suntec, we window shopped more. then i came by this yami yoghurt stall and i bought some ice cream. it was shiok!
now for the shocker! i saw BRISNGR! it was released in harris popular. not sure whether it is a popular branch, but it certainly releases books fast! according to the alagaesia site, the release in US was in sep and then it would some time to get to singapore. so i was genuinely shocked when i saw the book lying on the store shelve. unfortunately, what remained in my purse was inadequate to get a book. so my plan to buy the book had to be shelved. anyway, i plan to buy the cheaper version. i think it would be good enough. also elyssa, rmb to bring new moon on fri. and lend me eclipse after you're done! u had better! :)
okay, enough about today. tomr im going for a hike to some small hill in singapore, no, it's not bukit timah hill, but some other hill which name i and clueless about. then in the early evening... im going to meet nadine to have a smashing time of tennis!!!!!!! yay, im so darn excited! :D
on thurs, i will probably go for my stupid cca. then i will stay at home and waste time on the com.
okay, here's to a great holiday! :D:D:D:D:D
ps, go to elyssa's blog for pics from the outing, it should be out soon!!
last fri, although i still had 2 papers more after the weekend, i went to play street soccer(ss) for about 1 and a half hs.

I am a survivor!
i have survived the torment! yay! im finally done with exams! or more accurately, more or less done, i still have two more papers of physics, but i still have a wealth of free time! im not going to hit the books today, instead, i will start tomorrow. to me, time this week passed really fast, (although my clique thinks otherwise..), well, my reason's cos while studying, you never have enough time to finish what you are studying, so i always think that there is too little time, so i cramp everything in the limited time i have, hence all my time is used up before i know it. furthermore, time during exams passes by so quickly cos you are fully concentrating on the paper and time just whizzes by. it sure beats the dull lessons on normal school days.
i feel that the exams on the whole well relatively manageable, except for killer chem paper 2! i think there goes my chem marks... haha, but im still super happy, cos as time passes so quickly, my exams are being disposed off at the same rate. that's why im always happy after each paper, not because im confident about doing well or what, it's just the joy of one less exam.
my clique is planning outings this coming week. note the pural used, so that's multiple reasons to be hairpee!
now, im going to indulge in royal tramp and the golden path. they are both fine series! probably one of the nicest. haha, before the exams, i was so stressed that i considered watching dae jang geum all over, haha, it still remains number 1 in my heart!
and guess what! this joy beats all the above. SURVIVOR GABON IS PREMIERING TODAY! i love survivor n i really hope that this season's as great as it's predecessors! my all time fav is cooks island, cos korean yul won! and it also starred ozzy, the wonder boy who swims like a dolphin. haha. okay, i side tracked, this season's going to have some spiciness cos the cast is mainly young and good looking. :P and what's more, it gives elyssa and i more to talk about in school. not that we dont talk, we talk lots, but survivor is another of our common interests. :)
okay, i think i have said all that i want to, oh yes! n im going for tennis tomr! WITH NADINE! she loves it so do i! okay, i shall go and watch my show now. :)

Yeeha!
yeeha is a word taken from a game i played when i was younger, happylanders. it was sounded when every time you finish a level, and that was when i was super happy cos a level could be very difficult to complete, so yeeha means im happy. :)
i've just come home from school. and school's getting greater even though the dreaded exams are inching closer. the cause is my friends! they are so nice and crazy. today, during english especially, diane, elyssa and i were crapping while we were doing our compre. and as a result all of us were high and i could not concentrate. im not surprised if i get lots of questions wrong! i wish that we will be forever on such good terms till the end of next year, and maybe beyond that. i hope the enthusiasm of our friendship will never die out. :)
this days, the trying days before exam, i have been relying on 2 things to relieve stress.
1. ice cream! im really afraid that i will grow obese, or maybe my body's in the process alr. i have been eating chunks of ice cream! cos my bought this 1 litre of ice from the supermarket. and sis has her tub of ice cream too. so i eat and indulge! haha. ice cream's the best to relieve stress for me.
2. charlie chaplin! this guy's so darn hilarious. just watch him for a while and u will burst into squeals of laughter. the boxing video is the best so far. lol, i laughed my guts out!
i think i will show it here, then all my very stressed friends can have a laugh too! :)
lol! so funny huh!
unconsciously, im been ending every paragraph with a smiley! this means im really yeeha!

Wedding dinner
i dun really have lots of time to talk about the wedding, although it was really enjoyable! the food and seeing samuel! lol. haha, marina mandrin serves good food, or u could say that the food chosen was great. there were courses like sharks fin, lobster and jellyfish, etc... the desert was shiok too! mango pudding with ice cream!
okay, instead of a lor sor essay, im sure you are more interested in pictures. so lemme allow the pics to tell the story. :)

the 2 mums! mum and i went to mama's house to pick her at 6.30. okay mum and mama were discussing money for the hong bao, that explains the money that they are holding.

the three cousins. julia, samuel, and i
when we reached the hotel, we were directed to the ballroom, to table 38, not long later, auntie hannah came along with her family and of course, samuel!

the aspiring doctor? haha, samuel is clad in my sister's white coat from school. she had come from school and told me she had touch a dead body, as in to examine it. uh hem!

er jie and samuel! the two of them are cute!

from L, my mum's sis auntie hannah - mum - mama!

samuel and i, he is so cute and so darn smart. haiz, he reads chinese epics in chinese that i hardly understand, well that is, he tries to understand, but his chinese is so much better than mine. some more, he knew about the brownian motion before i did.

taking picture with the bride's mother, auntie jenny. she's my mom's cousin. so there are two sets of cousins here, auntie hannah and auntie jenny, samuel and me (or my sis). well, auntie jenny looks well younger than her real age!

taken with the bride's family. the bride's in the middle with her husband. on the right is her younger sis and her husband. on the left is her brother and her mum.
yeps, so that's the wedding for you. ps, one of my favourite songs, 你今天要嫁给我 was sung. and i was so excited! haha. :)

Extra stuff
hmm... how cute were you when you were young? i think i was tonne loads cute. okay, self-comliments do not get anywhere, but it's a fact right!

who is me (sic)? haha. of course the smaller one. i was 2 then. and look at my GINORMOUS eyes! single eyelid somemore!
the one beside me is my er jie, she looks jap right?
my mom said my way of expressing happiness was to stick out my tongue, haha, so adorable! i obviously had no cares in the world!
and this mon, im going for my relative's wedding dinner! yay! and i will get to see samuel and see how handsome and smart he's got! whee! i love samuel loads!!

Jurong Birdpark
today, i went to somewhere special. that is the jurong birdpark! haha, although it might sound boring and uncool to go there for young people, i think it was really fun. lemme tell you why.
1. i had company from 3 of my church friends, natalie, claudia and iva.
2. the admission was free. (thanks to kong wee's help)
3. the place had a revamp, and the it's much more appealing and looks more refurbished
4. the particular 2 bird shows that i watched were very entertaining. (actually they are the only 2 birdshows, the 'birds n buddies' and the 'birds of prey show'). there were quite a few changes made to the shows, making them fresher in presentation, unlike what was shown in the past which were all smiliar for the almost 5 visit i had made. i will tell more about it later.
5. the lory loft! that's where we really got up close to touching birds, in fact they came to us! will tell more later.
6. the waterfall though fake is the only waterfall in singapore, i think.. it was really refreshing just to stand near it. :)
okay, 6 reason! wow! that's amazing for such a small place. u noe, my friends and i were making a joke on how small singapore is. we were sort of complaining that the birdpark was rather small and there was not really that much to see, and put blame on singapore for being so tiny. (that didnt mean we didnt complain about walking, i admit, i did the most complaining. ;)) so when we walked past the ostrich enclosure, my friend spotted the ostrich eggs and remarked that they were so small, unlike those that we have seen elsewhere, then i quipped, 'everything in singapore is SMALL..' haha, and everyone laughed.
okay, back to the very beginning, at 12.45, i met nat and then we made our way down to boon lay. there, we meet up with claudia and iva. we took 194 and arrived at the bp. we had free admission and went to the world of darkness. we saw many many owls. there was a pair of dunno-what-breed owls and witnessed them turning their heads 360 degrees! it was quite freaky! haha. and there were some that stared at you with seeming-evil eyes that made you feel like breaking the eye contact before the owl seemed like it was going to gorge your eyes out.

at the entrance, bestfriends - claudia (L) and iva(R)

at the entrance too, with the same bird, best friends - nat and me!

okay, this is the cool head-turning pair. oh that's a pun! well they are truly head-turning because of their beauty and have the ability to head-turn. the one in front has a blurred head as it was turning its head while i took the shot. sorry, there's no video cos i wasn't quick enough.
next, we headed for the first show, the birds n buddies show. the most spectacular part of the show was the parrot speaking, conversing and singing for us! it was really hilarious when the bird spoke mandarin and made clear its intonations. i can say that its intonation's better than mine! haha, i had such a good laugh that my nose got choked and i was officially sick with running/block nose for the rest of the day. oh oh! claudia was one of the volunteers to hold the hoop for the bird to flor through! haha, kudos to her, she's so brave!
after the show, we went walking around until 4, which was the time slot for the 2nd show. the second show, as mentioned earlier, was the birds of prey show. the birds really got super close to the audience! the host of the show pretended to be a waiter and held a metal plate. on it, there was a piece of meat, the vultures (close to 7) had the task of trying to snatch the piece of meat off the tray, and of course gobble it up. and the audience's task was to scream whenever a vulture got close to the host and he would duck to prevent the vulture from achieving its goal. okay, that sounds lame, but it was exhilarating! the birds were such aggressive creatures that you cant help but feel like 'torturing' them. so the birds had to work very hard in order to get their piece of meat. through this whole process, the birds flew around the audience stand. swooping low many times, making the audience super excited. the pair of young girls seated behind me almost made me deaf with their incessant screaming. it show truly made everyone lively and alert. :)
after the show, the four of us went around for walk around the whole of the bp. i shall talk about the highlights. that is, the waterfall! the waterfall was cool! i just love rushing water, cos it's very relaxing and refreshing. and there, i met 3 koreans! well, they were ah sohs, but not bad leh, haha and i still had the courage to us one of them to help us take a group shot! actually i couldn't tell that they were koreans until nat told me after the pic was taken, then she prompted me to thank them in korean, but i didn't dare. lol.

with red birds, claudia and iva were disgusted with their colour, but well, red's my favourite colour, and i couldn't resist a pic with a background of red. :)

taken by the korean, not bad lah, cos she was really clueless at first on how to take a decent shot. haha, but she pass lah! the four of us are very happy here! the cool in the air!

best friends, but we are all good friends. iva has her hood on, upon my request. :)
next, we proceeded to the lory loft. there, we feed the lories. they are such adorable creatures, only to have one be flaw, they are super greedy! the do almost anything for food, even 'clawing' its feeder. that is what a bad bird did to me. well sort of lah, cos it flew on my back and i could feel it's claws, thank goodness they weren't talons! the bird soon rested on my shoulder and attempted to get some of the food in my hand, okay this bird was really desperate, it dropped all barriers and even came volunterrily into contact with some stranger in hope for a morsel of food. definitely not wise, but i am of course a every understanding and accomodating person, i did not shoo it away or punch it off, in short, i did not disturb it at all! (however, i was indeed quite afraid of it shitting on me!) haha!

a lory, oh my little lory! it's so rich in colour that it looks fake!

the 2 of them with greedy birds. argh lories are so greedy for food!

here, im feeding 3 lories, see! this is solid evidence that lories are really greedy! 3 birds squeezing their heads into a container to get their beak into some mash of bird food.

nat, she shrieks when birds are at close proximity! so this's a rare pic! she was so scared and was screaming non-stop! i took me pains to take this pic, nat.

taken at the lory loft entrance.
birds of a feather flock together? it seems really true!

claudia likes this soft toy, oh.. it's cute but it's only a soft toy. haha.
went to the penguin expedition, see the pic for a better description of the place.

at the penguin expedition. the penguins were sadly dead(not literally!). maybe they were napping after their meal time.
so we did not really have a chance to 'interact' with these swimming birds
upon exiting, we went though the souvenir shop. there i witness another pair of korean tourists. one was a middle-aged lady and a younger man, probably her son. they were requesting for something very interesting. guess... haha, they were requesting for parrots, not magnet ones, not soft toy ones, but real ones! the staff there had to explain to them that there wasn't sale of birds at the birdpark, instead, they could have a try at the pet shops. haha! this pair of tourist are so eccentric! i wonder how on earth they will transport the bird back to their country! maybe install gps on the bird and let it fly its way to korea! good idea!

ah, acting cute huh!
finally, after the trip at the bp, the four of us intended to catch a movie at jurong point, however, without very appealing movies available, we decided to forgo the movie. we went to eat dinner. the food was really good. i ate duck noodles, the duck was very nice! and nat ate tom yam noodles, whoa, very spicy i must say, but very very addictive! i drank some of her soup and almost could not tahan, but i still drank cos it was so addictive!
after dinner, we ate waffles and ice-cream at scoopz. it was nice! :)
after that, we headed for home. :)
tada! today was fun! haha

here, im feeding 3 lories, see! this is solid evidence that lories are really greedy!
tada! today was fun! haha
