Fun filming! :)

today was greatie! no school n the whole morning was spent being on task, filming for a project for innovation week, my group's topic was public display of affection among teenagers. though it is not really related to english n lit, it is a discussable topic, so, so be it! yesterday, we attended a talk, or rather a deary lecture on things to look for while filming a clip. then we split up to our groups. this project is special cos it is the first time my clique doesnt do a project as one, instead, diane n i are in a different group from the rest, thanks to the split in A n B classes! but after completing the project today, i felt that it wasnt so bad working with sarah ling, penelope n sarah chang, and of course diane, in fact i really enjoyed myself!
our clip had to be 3-5 mins long, and i was the one filming the video down. thanks to sarah c for providing the cameras! we met at compass point at 8.30am, the place was as dead as night! the only stalls open were mac's n burger king. we decided to eat breakfast at mac's since diane had a very nice mac's coupon that allowed us to have a free burger on top of a meal bought. so we bought 2 meals, 4 burgers, 2 milos, 2 hash browns. diane ate the hash browns while rest of us had proper burgers. lol. then after eating we started doing the script. diane n sarah were confirmed as the presenters.
we headed to the entrance of compass point to fish for people to interview. (fish?) the first few ppl we asked said that they were in a hurry or just walked away, ignoring us. then finally a middle-aged guy agreed to do it quite reluctantly, i was then encouraged. he gave really short answers... then we went on to ask other ppl, all middle-aged n elderly. there was the cute little old uncle with his toddler grandson, when we approached him, he nudged his grandson n said, "look... girls..." lol... then when he answered a question which goes- what do u think influenced the teenagers actions, he said, "very bad influence, very bad... tsk tsk." i had try to keep my laughter, diane too was giggling.
later on, we met this security guard and he said that we had to get permission from the authorities if we wanted to interview ppl in compass point, i was like what the.... so we had no choice, left compass for heartland mall.
at heartland, met uncle gideon n interviewed him, he was great, he was very friendly n cooperative towards us, and why was that so? cos he knows me! then we were wondering if we could interview ppl, cos we didnt want to get questioned by some security uncle. then we decided to go to mac's cos we felt that it would be okay interview ppl there.. so went there, met olivia, who is the guitar club president. then my group wanted to ask me to interview her. i was like, i dont even noe her and im too shy to ask... n the end, diane asked her prefect friend. thanks diane! after that, we asked a very funny sec 3 girl, she asked us to give her the pointers n she will say them in our interview. lol.
but i must say heartland was a better place cos of the grassy place outside the mall, somewhere opposite mac's. there was where we filmed the beginning, interview questions n the ending of our video. so that reminds me of what that johan guy in the talk said about having a beginning, middle, end in a video. gosh im so lame... haha. there was the NGs came rolling in. we had at least 40 NGs, all very funny ones though! haiz, all because of diane n sarah l, (more of diane's fault! she kept looking away to somewhere far away.) hope most of the NGs will be shown in our video!
we have completed the filming, n now sarah c will be editing the video. great job everyone! :) im so glad that we were focussed on our task n did it well. hope that the teachers will appreciate the effort we have put it!
